Cuando descargamos archivos de ciertas páginas web, corremos el peligro de que la transmisión de datos no se efectúe correctamente y que alguno de los archivos que nos hemos descargado sea inservible.

Si además dicho archivo es uno de los que componen una publicación más grande y nos ha costado horas descargarlo, uno se siente completamente frustrado, ya que todo el tiempo empleado no ha servido para nada.

SFV (iniciales de Simple File Validator o Validador Simple de Archivos) es una herramienta que nos permite detectar en qué partes de una publicación hay errores, con lo que podremos intentar una nueva descarga de esas partes o, si el problema persiste o lo tienen varios usuarios (lo cual puede ser síntoma de que es la propia publicación la que tiene fallos), comunicarlo al publicador para ver si es posible volver a publicar solamente las partes con errores.

SFV files contain CRC32 checksums which can be used to determine wether or not the files listed were downloaded correctly. So, after downloading a set of files, you can use a program to calculate the CRC32 checksums and then compare them to the checksums in the SFV file. If they match, then everything was downloaded perfectly.

SFV stands for Simple File Verification and is used to check if you’ve downloaded all the pieces of the files. Apps that open these files will check the checksums of the downloaded files with respect to the checksums in the ‘SFV’ file. If they match, all is fine. If they don’t match, you know which part of the file you need to download again.

Version 2.00 of Blitzkrieg Power Tools contains four applications for Blitzkrieg: a unit and weapon range updater, a .pak file creator, a .pak file extractor and the XML Map Cleaner program which will strip selected objects from XML-format maps and optionally change the maps base season.

Poner el archivo ostfront_skins.pak en su carpeta…\Run\data. Para las unidades del  Close Combat Mod 2 , el archivo .pak  debera ir en la carpeta …\mods\ccm2\data.
